That Miata is just fast, 84 on entry to 10 and 3, 117 on the front straight and fast on exit of 2. I tried 85 once in 10, didn't work

3 and 10 are the corners you need to carry in a momentum car like that

That is fast. If I was doing that I would be turning 122s.

In other news, I just calculated that my car is 300 pounds over the weight minimum for H1. How depressing. There isnt 300 pounds to lose unless I cut out the cage and replace all the sheet metal with carbon fiber.

I bet there is some stuff you can lose. 300lbs is a fat passenger. Probably a second right there

This is pretty cool, to watch someone turn in way early at Summit Main (Drift car) is just weird. I could never do that.

I thought the same thing. He turns in 100 feet early in T1.

He's rolling too.

With wing you can go faster through T10. That Miata does pull nice down the straight, I think my exit speed from T10 was a couple mph faster but my terminal speed before T1 was ~110 (in my Miata).

Neat video but the idea of their comparison was stupid. "We want to compare lap speeds between a drift/road car, but we're not going to use lap times or anything like that". What

Like you guys said, seeing how early he was turning was weird.

We will shake this out soon. I have been crazy busy.

Sorry, but this isn't coming together as I had hoped. Too many folks can't make it so it is a scratch. Hopefully, you guys can find an alternative. If the Lodge and Garage lofts are booked, try the waiting list. It has worked for me a few times.

This might help folks like David trying to decide which direction to go, they are both fun and highly competitive series in our region!
I compared my 121:7 lap using my TraqMate GPS based data acquisition to the Miata video. I was surprised to find the S2000 was faster at every corner apex. I had always assumed the fast Spec Miatas were faster through the corner but lost out on acceleration.

Here are the speeds:

........S2000.......Spec Miata
T1......49..............48
T3......88..............82
T4......103............97
T5......49..............46
T6......51..............47
T7......68..............63
T8......81..............77
T9......87..............83
T10....91..............84

I was on Hoosiers and the Spec Miata should have been on RA1s so I definitely had an advantage there. My lap video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FkTlSR8dVA
