2012 Track Junkie Thread
Sitting in the OEM seats feels so weird now I seat a lot higher in the OEM seats now, to the point where it is actually uncomfortable
Oleg, your car looks great in both modes
Great to hear that you are getting the car ready, Ron!
I've managed to get some work done on the s2k as well.
The car is officially in it's "street mode"!
I have installed some used OEM pads instead of my race ones, OEM AP2V2 rims and all season tires, OEM seats coupled with harddog bulkhead replacement bar for seat belt retractors.
Fresh oil, some other random bits and pieces... The car now officially handles and stops like s4!t...but it is drivable. Sitting in the OEM seats feels so weird now

Swapping all those parts every time you want to do a DE gets real old.
But enjoy the phase while it lasts!

Haha! Thanks Matt!
Swapping the seats is not the easiest thing to do, just because they a bulky and I have to unbolt the hardtop to do it. Lining up and starting the bolts can sometimes get interesting as well. I swapped both seats and rails.

I'm still there too. Still deciding if I want to swap out my track pads before the dragon or not. The Recaros are decently comfy for a road trip though. With the harness you Just need to make sure you get your junk situated right before setting off.

If you are running Carbotech track pads, I would just leave them on. The Dragon can be harder on brakes than any race track I have been on (depending on your speed).

Thanks. I know about the weird seat feels like. I think my body was molded onto my last seat that this seat in my new car is uncomfortable in comparison.
Ya, be careful with doing this alot. You can cross thread the bolts easily. The fix for this is no fun.
