2012 Track Junkie Thread
Matt, to conform to all those rules you'll have to make a splitter like mine. The rear edge can't go further aft than the front edge of the wheel wells so mine runs straight across from that point. It can't extend out more than 1 1/2 inch from the "shadow" of the car. Use a string with a fishing weight to hang against the car and mark the "shadow" then go 1.5" out from that. I was too conservative and just went 1.5" from the lip of the car and I gave up too much extension.
I recommend everyone make a backup splitter when they do this because the hard part is locating the mounting holes. Once you get one that works it's very easy to copy it and make a backup. At the very least make a backup in 1/4" plywood or just make a template out of cardboard for future use. It's pretty easy to rip these off when off roading.

This shadow rule sounds so strange to me. Is that at full noon? Or can it be at dusk? Seems like placement of the sun affects the length of the shadow?
Ah thanks for that Rob.
Haha didn't want to finish second but ended up second anyway: http://i.autoblog.com/2012/05/03/kia...hallenge-race/

I need help in trying to install oil and water temp gauges. I'm looking at the SPA techniques dual gauge (DG 203) that reads both but I can't find a tripple gauge pod for S 2000. They make a lot for civics and also Del Sols but not S2000. I would like to monitor the oil pressure too, more than likely I will get the same brand but my problem right now is where to install those gauges.
Also, I don't know how to install them especially connect them so I need a recommendation of shop that can do all these. My car is at PTuning for over a week now, they are having trouble getting the gauges and doing these for me so I need a new shop.
Thanks guys.
