One of the biggest reasons I want to autocross is to burn through these crappy Riken Raptors I've had for 2 years so I can justify to my wife spending money on new Z2s.

You can burn through them in any open parking lot with your right foot

You have to go to Ohio to run on flat concrete.
For now.
Status on ACU4? I feel like I've been hearing for a while that it was coming back, but haven't actually seen an event scheduled there...

Not much of an update but the change of command ceremony took place Friday the 15th and the paperwork was hand delivered on the 16th by a retired Navy Captain (the person responsible for getting us ACU-4 in the first place). It was delivered to the new CO who has expressed support for us autocrossers in the past and I believe is a friend of the Captain. The paperwork was accepted and is being reviewed. In the past two years the submittal was instantly rejected, so we're already further than we have been lately.

Keep your fingers crossed.

Don't be intimidated. They are what you make them and everyone there competing ran their first event at some point or another. Go out to have fun and improve your driving, you'll have a blast. Its easier said than done, but don't even pay attention to other peoples times when you're first starting out.

Registration is open for the SCCA National Solo Tour in Dover, DE. I think I'll go and embarass myself.
