Well, like a kid on Christmas Eve, I just couldn't wait till Jan 1 to make a new Track thread. It is time to begin planning for next year, since they have started posting 2014 dates.

Mercedes May event at Jefferson. It will also be with the new track configuration (they added over .5 mile and a couple more turns to the track).

This will be a good opportunity to drive a track that almost no one else has yet been on!

Man, I love Shenandoah on my birthday weekend, but my wife is also due the 17th.. Not sure what is standard protocol for husband duties when having a kid and how long before/after I'm supposed to not do anything. Opinions from other fathers out there? Looks like I'll only be able to attend Summit with NASA early April for a couple months.

just feel it out as far as track time goes. every experience with a new child is different .id say 1 month prior and 2 months after is a negative for track time. based off personal experience. definitely no double days either. besides for the next few months after birth you will be enjoying the rewards of being a father and cherishing moments.
