A few of my Porsche Customers want me to attend the PCA Track weekend April 25-26 at Summit Main, I'm considering it as i should have the car done by then. Anyone interested in joining me for the weekend?!

Question for Mid Atlantic: Does VIR allow one to run a stock S2000 - stock hoops, no roll bar? I assume NASA or CHIN would be S2000 friendly, but rumor is that VIR won't let the S2000 run.

I was at VIR for the vintage racing last weekend and thought it might be nice to take the S down for a track day, maybe in the fall.

When I asked last year, I was told if you have a hardtop and can pass the broomstick test you can run. (NASA Checked with VIR)

I've heard lots of people there have run CRs there and haven't been checked so YMMV.

Problem is that I don't have the hardtop. In theory, I pass the broomstick test.

I ran with nasa at vir for my first track day with no roll bar and no hard top and they never said anything. I emailed nasa before hand and asked and they said it was fine. I'm pretty short so that may have been why the track never said anything about it so take that for what its worth. I have a rollbar and hard top now but for an hpde1 driver I don't think they make as big of a deal about it. Hope this helped.

Will your instructor also pass the broomstick test?

Thanks guys. I think I have the answer. Also saw a video - looked like stock S at VIR.

Instructor won't be an issue. I have 4 race weekends at VIR in the MGA and would sign up for intermediate when I run the S.
