Only slightly--I will try to get a picture for you. My inspection is expired--airbag light--is on for some reason but i only use the car on track anyway so haven't felt the need to renew it. It is on my list though. It did pass with this hook on though for what it is worth....

Thanks, that's not bad at all. The car is a weekend/track car at this point and I'd like to keep it from being a track car only.

Fabric straps are always an option. That's what I run on my car.

Easier on the shins too. Easier on the bumpers of other cars too.

Not sure why I didn't think of straps, but found a decent black Tanaka strap on amazon for <$10. Can't beat that.

Edit: Actually I'll probably splurge and spend a few more bucks for a black sparco strap..

They're only like $15.

Here's where straps might be a problem if you actually need to use it. Depending on how they mount, the strap won't pull straight from the mounting point and may put undue stress in the bumper cover. If you're worried about that sort of thing.

I changed my mind and actually am not sure what strap I'm gonna get, but I'll get one.. I was thinking the black Sparco strap on ebay is probably a knock off, as I think they're only made in red. Granted it might be fine, but I'd hate to need a tow, and it breaks because it's junk.. We'll see.

That's a good point and something I was thinking of. I like this install where it's actually mounted on the top of the bumper reinforcement and wraps around. It looks like a Racetech strap in the picture which I think is longer. It's something I'll think about come the new year.
