2017 track junkie thread
As 2016 comes to a close and 2017 begins, we have seen more and more great people migrate from the s2ki track junkie thread to different and more involved groups on facebook. After talking with some fellow track junkie friends last night, its not hard to see why. All your social media needs and track junkie stuff is lumped into the same app. Benifits of Facebook are that we can create events and people can confirm or deny participation in that event. We can have multiple threads runing simultaneously in the form of different posts which makes it much easier to sort through different topics. It's easier to post pictures and videos via your phone. PM's get instant notifications. Etc.
my question is this, is it time for a change? What do you like about s2ki more than facebook? Do some of you not have facebook? All input is appreciated. Let me know your constructive thoughts below.

Totally agree. No one I know likes the new site. I dont mind a little advertising here and there, but when it redirects me now to some site or to the Google Play store to download some random app, F**K that. Lost me renewing my membership.

I haven't been active here in a while, but one significant benefit to here is that it's not blocked by many employers, while a number of them block Facebook.

I hate the new update personally. Looks so weird and hard to read now. I think facebook is just more convenient since everything is in one place. But that depends on what it is for really. I love the DIY threads on here with pictures and what not, so much easier to read than on FB. It's also easier to sift through information on here and find what you need than on FB in my opinion. Trying to read a giant FB comment threat gives me a headache. However, FB is much more convenient when it comes to organizing events and keeping everyone informed. I guess it depends on the information you are trying to communicate as to what platform is the best.

So since thread is here and sort of alive....
Anyone going to the PDX Summit Main in early March? Hoping I can record more than 7 laps in a weekend. Lots of upgrades over the winter....hoping to dip into the 15's if weather permits.
