Yup...hit that dinger today. And of all things, my odo rolled right to that number juuuuuuuuust when I drove The Bruised Banana into my garage . Looked sooooo purdy on the odo seeing all those zeros...almost like starting over or something .

Didn't last long tho' . Next stop, 70K

Hey Dave,

How about driving backwards for a couple of weeks to knock off some of that mileage?

When I hit 40k I was on my way to Atlanta. I pulled off the highway in Spartanburg, SC to reset my trip meter (I like them to roll at the same time ). Since I was in BMW country I decided to look for a photo op. I found it at the BMW Performance driving school parking lot. I rolled into 40k right as I pulled up. There were sixteen silver Z4s parked out front. I noticed an empty space and the place was closed for the day, so I pulled the S in and took a few shots

I'll post 'em when I find my camera.

Congrats Dave!

60k, does that mean it's time to look at one of those new "civilized" 04's or do you wait for the 100k mark (& then get a used 03 because it looks like the 04's suck)?

As far as I'm concerned, The [one-and-only] Bruised Banana will be with me 20 years from now...or whenever I send it over a ravine on one of our drives . This is my future "Austin Healey" or whatever you want to fill in the blank as...it is my "true sports car" and my baby!
