hmm.... i just read this...........and the first question i have is was it a STATE TROOPER? or a city cop. city cops usually are lenient, state trooper? no dice.

To be honest, ive gotten a reckless/racing ticket........I WAS DOING 37 IN A 35!!! JUST because when i had my white eclipse, a green one started to pace me... he was asking what i had under the hood......at that same moment, alexandria cop pulled us both over and gave us a reckless/racing ticket.. he didnt even put the speed on the ticket.

I went to court, and man.. that judge was throwing EVERYONE the book.... and thought to myself.. i'm screwed. welp.. the cop told his case, i told mine, being very respectful, the other guy that got the ticket said he needed a translator. some hispanic brotha. After i told my case, the judge asked the hispanic brotha what happened. the translator pretty much repeated back what i said. 2 against one. the judge said, well their is no speed on the ticket...she didnt even ask the cop why. she said there is no proof, DISMISSED..................turns out the hispanic dood spoke perfect english.........he was telling me how bad ass my car was hahaha.........lil did we know, the cop was behind us walking out........

I started to take the elevator, he ask if i was going up or down, i said down.......he said i'm going up.....take the stairs hahahahaha HE WAS PISSED...........BUT i got out of it. kinda had to though........usually when i get a ticket.......i KNOW i'm wrong.....paying attention or not......that was MY fault. technically 1 mph Over the speed limit is speeding. up to 3 mph is lenient for calibration.......anything after that, you can get a ticket. thats why its called A SPEED LIMIT......not 10mph, i'll be ok Over the speed limit. You get caught, you get caught.....15MPH over is pretty damn far off the speed limit. situations like this........man up... pay the ticket.....I speed technically every where i go......nobody does THE SPEED LIMIT......but know that when your 1 mph over, your speeding....

how do i know? lets just say ........i study law.
no offense but take it easy with the dots, I couldn't even finish reading that.

I think people here are way to harsh about people getting tickets. Yes you did something wrong so you have to own up to it, but speeding 10-15 over the speed limit on the high way is not a that big of a deal in my opinion. I see no reason you shouldn't try and goto court and get out of it if if the cop doesn't show up or you have a clean record.

Yes, I'm not going to lie. But I don't drive constantly 15+ over. Sure I might juice it up to pass a slow semi. I don't cruise at 75+ in a 60. That is just stupid. (Maybe it's worse for me because our limit is 55 here)

Who says I have to speed in order to have a sports car? I'm sorry, was that a stipulation of owning an s2000? I own my sports car because I enjoy the feeling of driving it. Speed has nothing to do with it.

[QUOTE=e3opian]What does one's tickets have to do with YOUR premium? I could be wrong, but as I understand it insurance premiums are effected by your points on file at the DMV, the DMV's points are effected by your own tickets.... NOT someone elses.

I hate Aaron, he smells bad. And is sick all the time. And he drives slow. In a GPW. And he never picks up his parts. And his woman beats me in ping pong. And he never changes his avatar.

And he has two vowels at the beginning of his name, WTF is up with that?

HAHAHA My badd sorry about the dots.

I dont think its that bad if your consistantly going with the flow of the traffic. and ofcourse! you should Try something. ANYthing to explain your side.

But My point here is, people Travel at 10-15 over all the time. Going with the flow of traffic. you can be doing exactly the same speed as the rest of the folks that are doing 10-15 over but if that cop wants to, he's gonna pluck you out of the group. just because!

The FIRST thing you say is, EVERYONE else is doing it! why did you pick me? why didnt you pull everyone over?

Cops response? " i cant get everyone can I. were you speeding?
your response? Yea but, with the flow of the traffic.
Cops response? So you do admit you were speeding. and just because they were speeding, you can speed to?

I hear it all the time. Thats all i'm saying. cops hear it all, judges hear it all, It sucks! trust me i know! but speeding is speeding. cant deny it.

Honestly, i hope you can go and see what you can do! Never hurts to try. But i tell you what, you wont catch me cruising 15mph over. I skurry up, then wheni get where i wanna be on the road, i back down around 10 over, sometimes not even that!

I learned my lesson

You gota pay to play. Take $100 bucks out of your pocket every time you go over the speedlimit. That will get you to slow down.

I think all ppl who go over the limit should be given the death penalty, personally

I never go over the limit. It's all about cruising in 6th gear at 30mph. The chicks go crazy.
