Default 99 PRELUDE

I picked up a 99 lude with 27,000 miles for a daily driver but after having the car for a while I realized that the car is very very tiny inside. I need more head room. I lowered the seat as far as it will go with the manual adjustment but I still need about an inch or so more. Does anyone know any tricks to get the seat lower or has anyone cut and welded the seat rail to lower the seat? Any help, comments, and suggestions will be appreciated!!

Thanks

P.S Anyone who complains that S has little head room should spend 7 hours in a
99 lude

I have a 2001 lude (same as 99) and the headroom is the same as S2000, just lean your seat back more...practice your gangsta lean!

If that doesn't work leave the sunroof open! lol.

Seriously you must be 6'4" or you just like driving sitting straight up like you have to in the S2000. My bro is 6'1" and has plenty of headroom driving the Prelude.

I agree with JLude, how tall are you? I'm 6'3" and, while I do have more headroom in the S (about 1" maybe), I have about 1/2" of headroom in my Prelude. I tend to sit up straighter than most too.

Hey jlude, I'm 00Mugenlude on PP.com, new name here for the new car.

Hey bro! Good to see you here. If you fit in the S at 6'3" that's impressive. It's tighter in the S than a Prelude due to the seats not able to lean back at all in the S.

I think I fit only because the most reclined, slid back position is a natural position for me. Once I'm in, there is not much moving around. But, I'm comfortable so I don't need to.
