Default advice on hardtop wanted

would appreciate any advice mid-atlantic group members could give me on the following. am interested in buying a hardtop for my 2002 S. Blue arriving in 3 weeks and my MD dealer wants $3800 (includes assembly). was curious whether I could get this somewhere else cheaper or what others may have paid as that's a hunk of change. all advice welcomed. adavis

adavis, the dealer here in Richmond where I get my car serviced is selling the hardtop for $2695 - don't know if this includes installation, but I'm sure you could probably get the whole deal for less than $3000. Someone from DC drove down here and bought a yellow hardtop from them (saw a picture of it ) This dealer has been trying to get me to buy one for a long time....PM me if you would like details

Look for a better deal. My dealer sold me mine for $2600 installed.

In Bel Air, MD, my hardtop cost about $3300 installed. Regional pricing may vary--this was the cheapest in Balto. area without 6-month wait.

I'm not really in your region but I got the hardtop at the time I bought the car for $2,495 installed.

There is a little known $500 rebate from Honda, or at least there was at the beginning of this year of the MSRP of $2,995. You may have to really nag your dealer to get it or even make the calls to Honda yourself to get it in writing but it was out there in March/April. If you are really interested you should find lots of talk about this if you do a search.

So as others said $3,800 sounds a bit high.
