Well, for anyone interested I got my car back and I now have a CompuStar SS security system installed in my S. The install only took a day. At first glance, they seemed to have done a good job. Nice clean installation. Now I get to play with the system and try and figure out how the 2-way transmitters work. No complaints about Car Trendz which is where I had it installed.
I installed the hornet OEM add on alarm so that I could use my factory transmitters. I also installed the microwave sensor add-on in case the top was down. It works great, except for the "warm-away" going off when it rains hard (as mentioned above on the Viper system). I see you're in fairfax. PM me if you decide to get this alarm and need some help. good luck!
