Default an amazing group of enthusiasts!

I've just had the great privilege of meeting an amazing group of s2k enthusiast today at FF2Skip's house. It started out as a simple valve adjustment day and turned into so much more. I've never met a more supportive and jovial group of car enthusiast in one room. Every one had Bling-Bling cars and knew exactly how to handle them. The "little drive" Skip took us on was hair raising and mind numbing as we rounded out 15mph curves at 65+mph WITH oncoming traffic. I got to see up close his amazing driving skills as he recovered from a near fatal oversteer after coming off the ground w/ coolness and aplomb. Pointdexter was the quiet man w/ the big stick or rather big sound who drives at 104mph looking bored. Tenblade is the coolest cat having broken a screw during his valve change and still blistering the pavement. S2k Paradigm is off the hook behind the wheel. I've never seen a woman handle an S2k like that! Wingman was available to help in any conceivable way and Ms. Perky took the time to drive down just to welcome some new faces. But the most amazing support came from Skip's family who fed us well and made us feel very welcome and comfortable.

Thank to all for letting a newbie hang w/ the big boys.... and girls! Truly Awesome!!!

I think you took some literary license there, Thong! I don't really think I left Mother Earth, but I'm sure full suspension travel was realized!!! Your company and comments are greatly appreciated. Hopefully we will be seeing you again soon.

BTW, Thong was one of the owners to get his valves done. We were running a little late and did not get to his. He took it in stride. Thong, as I said earlier, we'll get you hooked up and get the diff/tranny fluids changed as well! And to all, Thong was right there on my behind! to you!

Thong - you had no problems keeping up there yourself

Did I really look bored? I was certainly grinning from ear to ear - that drive was waaaaaaaaaay too much fun! I did find out a little later that our group was the only group to be breaking 100 MPH back there more than a few times What was that posted speed limit by the way?

I've got to second you on S2K Paradigm! There is no question that Laura can drive, and she certainly proved that the 2004 can hang

Thong - I have the Cusco 32mm sway bar and Speed X-brace, a Cusco STB and am Lowered with Eibachs. I would say that the Sway bar and the lowering springs make the most difference on the handling. I may have mentioned this earlier, but I am going to take the STB and the X-Brace off to see how much they counter-effect the sway bar. I've got a feeling the sway bar alone makes more difference.

BTW - I keep an online photo album that is multiplying photos like rabbits make babbies at http://poindexter.smugmug.com. If you want to head straight to today's photos, then just click here http://poindexter.smugmug.com/gallery/75767/1

I also posted the better pictures in Skip's thread.

Alex,

Looking forward to your comparison tests.

I'll check out your photo album.

BTW. the pics in the tunnel aren't bad at all. Do you have photoshop? You can change the levels and curve settings to make enhance them.

Good snaps!
