Forgot to mention - you do not want something as minor as this on your insurance record. Insurance companies use anything and everything to get you to pay more, and no matter what they tell you today it will come back to bite you in the ass down the road.

I would never use an insurance company unless there was no possible way you could afford to pay the damages out of your own pocket - I don't care if that means you're eating Raman Noodles for the next 3 months.

Thanks for all the info guys!!!!

Long story short, we got it back from the dealership and it looked new. My costs, including paying for her rental, were ~$500. We kept this out of insurance so that's another That was my intention all along. Anything I can keep out of insurance, I will. Also, at the end had her sign a liability release form. So, all is good now.

After looking at my bumper a little more, I might be able to get away with a polishing compound or this stuff:

Besides, with this accident, my mortgage, car insurance, etc, all hitting right now, I dont have the cashflow to fix this perfect anyway
