Default any tall drivers with seat mod in the area?

Hey, i'm ready to sell my 330Ci and get an S2K. I'm 6'7" and would like to see if anyone in the area has lowered their factory seat or replaced them with racing seats in search for more room.... Hit me up if you wouldn't mind me sitting in your car. I've driven these cars before but wouldn't buy one if a bit more room cant be freed up. Looking forward to joining the community...

Take a look at this thread. Ryan (Ro_Ja Boy) is about 6'2" and he says he is very comfortable in this setup. The Recaro Seats don't have brackets that bolt up to the S2000, so he custom made his own that sit rather low. You may want to drop him a line and see if he can comment for you.

You wont be able to sit in the seats though, he lives in Vegas.

He's actually selling these seats. He has a thread in the for sale thread. Maybe he will be willing to part with these.

i am 6'2" and have a roll bar which messes with my seat travel and i fit just right, but if i was a little bit bigger i would be a little cramped.

DIY Lower the Driver Seat Thread <----go there and it's a diy to screw with the seat brackets. i may do this next year sometime since i'll be going to the track, but haven't done it yet.

good luck short stuff

I just had some race seats and brackets installed on my car.... I can deffinatly move further back and lower than the stock seats. I just had a guy drive up from manassess to look at it cause hes in the same boat as you. He was 6'6" with real long legs... he sat as high as I did, just hes legs are so long that he cant even move the steering wheel. My setup was deffinatly an approvement, but still not good enough for him.

Good luck, theres not much room for someone your size in this car.

Leg room was my thought with him as well which is why I asked for his inseam but I'm guessing he expects us to email him and hasn not checked back on his thread.

If you do check back I'll suggest a Porsche 968 where you will have plenty of room and get similar performance but a car at least 10 years old.

The 968 is reliable no turbo like the 951.
