Anyone with paint experience
I want to paint my CF hood. Unfortunately there is a VERY small spider crack in the clear coat. One paint shop said the couldn't be painted b/c of this....said the paint would crack in that spot. Any ideas to fix the situation?
Not sure how it works with gelcoat. I assume it's gelcoat since most of the imitations use that (easier to apply evenly). With clearcoat they would need to sand down the one section and spray. It's a very tedious and time consuming process. Because they have to wait for the clearcoat to dry, sand again, then respray. Repeating the process until the thickness matches up.
