Anyone travel with SKIS??
First off I'm going to cross-post this in some of the other regional areas...
Just wondering if anyone has tried toting skis for their winter excursions, and how they did it. Worse scenario I guess I could borrow my dad's CRV whenever I go but...

ive done it, it isnt too hard. i had my 180's with bindings on them and boots in the floorboard from richmond to wintergreen many times. the hardest part is jsut getting them situated so they dont bounce around. put the tips in first all the way over to the driver side, then get the bottoms in the floorboard, and bring the tips back to the passenger side. and make sure you have them wrapped in a towel. not only will it keep things from getting scratched, but when you go to put your wet skis and boots back in the car after you are done, it is a big help keeping things clean.
p.s.
the fun part is getting skiis AND a passenger in. well i guess it isnt that fun for the passenger, but oh well.
