Default Anyone work at honda or know someone that does?

I wanted to get my soft top replaced under warranty. It is going to expire in April and it is showing signs of wear. I want to see if I can get the blue top instead and pay the difference if there is any. Anyone know? Thanks.

I just asked parts department and OEM softtop is black. If you seen blue softtop somewhere then it must be aftermarket

Part #: 08L31-S2A-130A genuine Honda, BUT it's listed as an accessory. They (Majestic Honda) also have it listed as lower priced than the black one, but I do not work at Honda so I can't really answer your question. Sorry.

I will add that I have had 2 s2ks with wear issues, both within warranty and both times the dealership refused to replace it. First car I went to Fairfax Honda. Second I went to Dulles Honda. Both times it was escalated to the area service manager (you have to schedule a time he will be at that specific dealership which is annoying) and both times they made up lies about why it was wearing through. Fairfax Honda basically told me to get over it and Dulles Honda said it has "obviously been cut" I hope you have better luck than I did. It's very frustrating to have an area manager know so little about such a common issue.

My parts department just called for availability and the closest one is in New Jersey. But I just think it'd be difficult to get it replaced under warranty. What year and what is your mileage on your car?

Price was little less than $1100 (parts)
