Default ap2 taillight install help!

I was wondering if someone in the mid-a wants to help me install my ap2 tail lights on my ap1. I know how to do it, I just need a cutting tool of some sort(i.e saw). I have a dremel, but I don't have the cutting tool for it, so I'm thinking its a perfect time to meet my fellow mid-a members to help me out.

There is a DIY in the fourm. Did you get the HTguy kit?

A saw is definitely your best bet. The HTG kit is awesome. Especially that it comes with a template so you know what to cut. I did this on my old AP1 years back, and the HTG kit made it so easy.

angle grinder is the best tool. dremel bits will break before the job is anywhere near finished, from my experience.

Yes, I mean the cutting wheel. Its not that I'm cheap, well maybe a little. Mainly because, I am afraid that the dremel will not be enough to cut it since its such a small machine and I'm on the fence about forking out 50 bucks for a tool I'll use once.

hmm... let me say that Rashad does have good experience in this as i've never done it so i cant comment on it..

but i will comment on the dremel as i've been known to do some fancy things with a dremel..

at walmart, there is a metal cutting wheel... and a bit that it slides and locks onto. I've use that small wheel to cut from bolts, exhaust pipes to my oem hood and everything in between like bumpers and what not...the trick is knowing how to use the dremel...

so if your not so sure, then maybe you might wanna steer clear...but if you try... you never know.. you just might be able to do it..... but like i said.. i'm pretty good with a dremel.

Ahh...but you won't. Instead, you'll 'return to the trough' over time buying more and more bits/tips for different projects. I've added any number of items over the years...to my same initial dremel purchase. Now I polish my silver wrist bracelet, use it to cut plastic now and again, sand down burrs & splinters on small metal, plastics and wood projects, etc...
