APR CF mirrors
so I'm back to MD for Thanksgiving! (
to all the students out there...man rough quarter) and have some time left. Soooo I began to install this and that and got to APR CF mirror installation. I opened the box for the first time and what do I find?! Cracked passenger side mirror nOOOO!! I called the shop I bought it from and working to get reimbursement figured out. They told me the APR mirror cracks a lot and that this isn't their first time. Anyone with this mirror have the same problem? Also I was staring at the base...does this unit just bolt right on? Also trying to remove all wires, motors, and everything else that is part of the old stock unit...for weight purposes.

the install is just those two screws.. they should line up... and you screw them down.....it should be very straight forward... i wouldn't take out the wires and such just incase you want to swap back to your regular mirrors later down the road.. and weight savings isn't going to be much.
i love those mirrors but i'm sceptical about getting them... with no garage. and only two screws holding that thing away from some idiot theives hands... it not very assuring to me...
