If under event type it's listed as test and tune, how does that differ from being listed as an auto cross event?

The test & tune format is different. You may work for an hour or so, and the rest of the time you can drive the test course until you can't take it anymore.

I had about 30 "runs" at the last Tidewater test & tune.

I am a relatively new ap1 owner looking to get my feet wet with auto-x as well. WDCR is doing autocross instructional courses the first weekend of April at the Redskins' stadium. I just signed up for the event and it will be my first performance driving experience. I read a few reviews on the course and it seemed right up my alley. From what I read, there will be classroom information in the morning and then seat time with an instructor. I read that 20 runs on a sub 1 minute course is about what to expect. I'm planning to do their level 1 course and run a few autocross events this year. I'd like to get comfortable with the car (mainly the driver) and try to do a HPDE with instructor next year. I can't wait for the autocross course, I've been wanting to do this for a few years now. Looks like I'm the only s2k signed up so far. Would be fun to have another s2k noob as well. I'm sure the folks on here could get a good laugh of our driving if we made it to the youtubes.
