Back and looking for another s2000
Hello all. I used to be a member when I had my Ap1 Spa and was a bit more active on the forum. But due to kids and life, I had sold my car for a e46 m3 vert, so I can have 4 seats and put my younger kids in the back. I miss my s2000 and looking to come back, but the prices have gone up a lot. Which makes sense for such a good car. I'm looking for a good s2000 with a reasonable miles and price, and that is taken care of properly. If folks have a suggestion let me know. I saw one down in Lorton, VA that I will be going to look at if folks have insight. I would love a Suzuka blue, but open to all colors except New Formula Red. No offense, just don't love red for the s2000.
If you want blue there are two: Suzuka Blue was only imported with the all-blue interior which takes a specific visual tolerance that I don't have.
Laguna Blue came with the Boring Black(tm) interior which lives up to its name and is a bit more tolerable (and is the interior of my Silverstone).
A priority list will create a short list, often a very short list, and save you chasing cars that you really only kinda want. I personally prefer the 2006 and later cars with all the bells and whistles especially the 17" wheels, and DBW (tuneable ECU) with traction control and stability assist (both can be switched off when playing) so "2006 or later" was #1 on my priority list. Both blues were available in 2006 albeit in small quantities. I did not have color on my priority list so, of course, I have a 2006 silver car really only lacking the tire pressure monitors.

I’m going to be putting up my 2006 Laguna Blue Pearl up for sale soon. I just got it detailed yesterday and will be posting a For Sale writeup this weekend. Got lots of high quality upgrades and components. Never been FI’d. Need to sell to buy and make room for son’s car. To be continued …
Thanks all for the responses. I didn't get down to Lorton, the owner didn't respond and it isn't on Cargurus any more. I have seen a Suzuka now in NJ that I just messaged the owner on. Hoping they get back to me. It looks nice. Both Suzuka and Laguna are great colors. Only color I'm not a fan of is Red. For some reason the car doesn't look great in that color. I'm open to other colors, but the price and miles have to be right.
There was an '05 RIO on Facebook Marketplace down here in Midlothian, VA the other day.

Owner seems willing to talk on price. I would love the hardtop, but not willing to pay $6k more for it.

An extra $6000? The era of $14,000 S2000s in good condition seems to be long over and OEM hard tops remain desirable. Looks good in the photos -- don't they all?
BTW Moseley is 10 - 15 minutes from a couple of us here in Chesterfield if we can be of any assistance.
