Default Back to work!!

As some of you may know I have been on an extended vacation for the past 2 1/2 months. The time has come for my lazy a$$ to start working again (Hopes of hitting the lottery didn't really pan out). My first day is tomorrow and I must say I'm sorta excited and also bummed at the same time. I haven't been up before noon in such a long time that I'm kinda worried that I'll oversleep on my first day . I realize now how much I dreaded Sunday's . Thanks for listening to my useless banter as I really don't have a point to this thread, other then to say I hate WORK!!! Arghhh!!

Cool man, good to hear that!
I guess you won't be able to hang out as much now.

Hey John, good going dude!

But don't forget about what we talked about at B&N one night about our dream job.
I wasn't drunk or anything, I was pretty serious.
I just have to move my lazy butt to start some day.
Once I get going, I am going to entice you to be my partner along with other talented and interested people.
Should I keep on dreaming or wake up and smell the coffee and face harsh reality?

Sounds like my roommate......he just collects his $375 unemployment check each week and plays video games all day. He would rather get the check than look for a job!

Congrats!......it seems good jobs are getting harder to come by these days.

I just got home from my first day at the office. I must admit that I have lost a step or two and I didn't feel as sharp as I did before . I'm sure it will come back to me with time, considering I've been bumming around for over 2 months. Started the day off with 2 booring meetings (nothing ever changes) and then kinda cruised the rest of the day.

Andy- I thought the world was coming to an end when my alarm clock ran this morning.

Jackie- I'm still coming out to B&N on Fridays to hang out with you guys. Oh and let's not forget the Hooter meets and karting.

EJ- You can't leave us hanging like that. I really hope the new gig is what I think it is .

Randy- I haven't forgotten, actually I'm more committed to our 'dream' job then before.

John- The IT market is definately hurting right now, especially for people in middle management like myself . I kinda luck into this position and needless to say I'm not quitting from this job no matter what. Well atleast not for a little while.

Thanks everyone for wishing me luck. Hopefully I'll be happier here then at the other 'labor camp' I was at before.

Congrats on surviving the first day!

The IT market is definately hurting right now, especially for people in middle management like myself.
That's because all the real techs like myself hate the middle management people (The Man).

Just razzin' ya a little, preparing you for the worst (working with folk like me).

Congrats again.

Working with Sr. level admins is no sweat. Don't get me started on managing help desk techs.... I was once a 'real techie' too, now I just crunch numbers, write up proposals and attend meetings all day .

Damn John... seems like we're in the same boat. Today was my first day after being unemployed for 2 1/2 months as well. You however have the luck of not being married and therefore are able to sleep till noon. I on the other hand had a list of things to do from the time I got my 8:30 am wake up call each morning... Oh well... At least I get a break now and can go back to work. Hey Randy, what's this dream job and how come I wasn't invited to participate!? That's not nice! I'm heading up to NY this weekend so I'm not in for B&N this week but I'm thinking next Friday maybe hooters dinner and then off to B&N (sans local police escort this time). Any takers??
