What?!? Drive the S2K with the top UP?!? Just kidding.

Having had both an '00 and an '02 S2K, the new glass window is slightly smaller as Chris noted. It was a noticeable change in terms of visibility (worse) but the shiny clear glass makes up for it . Only 1-2% of my time in the car is spent with the top up anyway .

Ah well, maybe I'll take the rest of the day off after lunch or something. I was sooo tempted to do just that yesterday... And the boss is outta town... but I've been off so much lately due to car troubles. Look for more on that in the Rate DC Area Service Departments thread soon... I just haven't gotten up the motivation to write it all out.

Sometimes top-up is good. With the dark tint windows, it's sometimes nice to be incognito (and warm)

What level of tint do you have on windows? I was thinking about doing it to mine but I got ticket on my Civic when I had 5%. The thing that really sucked. The cop that wrote the ticket was a friend of a cop friend of mine.

I've got 20% semi-reflective 3m on there. Never had a problem, maybe because the front and rear are clear... or the top is down, in which case it doesn't seem as dark.

Oh yeah you cant tint the plastic window right? I had to read that a few times to understand. Yeah probably lets enough light in that they don't bother you. Once winter hits I'm probably going to get mine done. I didn't want to do it because I like top down and windows are automatic if you put the top down. Can't roll em down for days once tinted.
