Best service shop for engine replacement?
A friend of mine blew his engine, and would like to have it replaced. A honda dealer gave him a list of items he needs to fix (short block, cylinder heads, head gasket, etc) to the tune of $9500 including installation.
I posted another thread in another forum about this

While this price sounds slightly high, I'm asking the Mid Atlantic if there are any recommended shops that he should use for a second opinion. These shops don't necessarily need to be dealerships.
Where would you recommend in the Mid-A?
Thanks

Thanks Naveed,
Anyways, honestly you are in some sort of luck. Or your friend is. I have a full F22c (AP2 2.2 LIter motor) long block. I'm sure your friends existing tranny is ok? If all he needs just a long block, i'll be able to beat that 9,500 bill for sure
Shoot me a PM if interested. Used s2000 swaps normally go around 4500-5000 for the 2.2 motor, but thats with tranny.
