A broken nut will certainly cause a stud problem. (sorry couldn't help myself)

overtorquing your nut will cause you some grief in the long run.. but did you also park in a shady part of town?

yea i figure i drove 900miles last night like that. So i am not too worried. But i def want to get it fixed
Like I said. You can drive on it for a little, but others will start breaking off because of the wheel being unbalanced.

I've busted a bunch of 'em on The Bruised Banana over the years...and over the miles (190K+ presently). Always on the rear wheels. Once I had broken off 2 the same weekend at The Dragon

Each time, I had my mechanic simply press out the old broken stud and replace with a new stud in the existing hub. No sense buying an entirely new hub for a $10 or less part IMO.

broken nut means someone was trying to jack it.

well, it cost me 175. What a freakin rip off. And they had the nerve to call me and say i was going to need a new bearing cause if they put the old one back in it would make noise. I asked if they had bearing grease and a press and they said yes. So i asked if they had cmopitent techs. They said yes. So i asked what the problem was. Fraking tards.
