Default Broken Lug Nut

Oh my god, i was washing my car in beautiful Florida and found that my lug was snapped.

Has anyone ever done this. How much will it cost to get repaired? I mean what the F***??? My nut was sideways. I think someone tried to steal my rims last night or something? I dont know.

A quick reshifting will fix that

Sorry I can't help but laugh at that one. But seriously I never heard of the lug nuts getting lose that much unless it has not been checked ever. If it was a little lose at one time then over time it will eventualy get very lose and come out.

I had a stud break. had to pay about 100 for a new hub, then like 200 or so for the install.... get it fixed BEFORE you drive too much more. then it will break more off.

Do you have aluminum lug nuts? Maybe they were over torqued?

I did an autox once with 2 broken studs. They broke when I was trying to swap to the race tires. AND drove home afterwards.

Right, that's why I mentioned 'over torqued'. Not only can that bust a lug nut, but it can also screw up the stud.

If they are the Volk lug nuts, they are most likely aluminum.

A broken nut will certainly cause a stud problem. (sorry couldn't help myself)
