Red face Bucket Seats in the S

I wanted a seat that I could run a 5/6 point harness on the track, supported me while track driving, I fit comfortably in, I could afford, and that looked good. After months of research, driving long distances to test sit seats, and figuring out what my needs are I finally decided on the Mugen S1R seats. These seats seemed to be the best compromise of all my wants in a seat.

Taitec Seat rails from Science of Speed were used. They have a great range of adjustability and feel like rugged seat rails. This is not an area you want to skimp on. In the case of an accident I don't want to be wondering whether the welds on the rails are going to hold.

My only complaints with the taitec rails is that there are 2 levers to slide the seats forward/back (one on each side of the seat). I don't have ginormous hands and it's difficult to reach between the seat and transmission tunnel to lift the lever.

These seats are extremely comfortable and hold me in place well. No more struggling to brace myself while on track.

Another plus is that these seats are significantly lighter than OEM.

OEM Seat + Rail = 32 lbs on my scale
Mugen S1R + Rail = 14 lbs on my scale

Weight Savings 18lbs/side = 36 lbs total. Not bad considering all the other bonuses the seats already provide.

None whatsoever. These seats fit like they were made for this car. Middle console opens without touching either seat. No rubbing on doors.

They look great Jason those leather pieces on the wings and sides are great...no fading issues with the seatbelt rubbing on it and when you come in and out.
