Thumbs up Camera Mount

Does anyone have a camera mount that I could borrow for Fall Colors? I am interested in taping the drive and some track time. If not, where can I purchase one on somewhat short notice?

Thanks,
Eric

Well, sorry to say, I like my SpeedMount that I got a couple years back from a GB backcracker handled!

Umm, if you need a camera mount fast, you might check with Poindexter. Not that I want him selling his S2000...but he recently posted that things might be turning in his life to force him to consider selling within the year. As such, he might be willing to part with his (I say all this *thinking* he has a camera mount from tims2k). And if not Pointy...then you might check with tims2k directly.

I think a camera mount is about the only thing I don't have on my car (aside from FI)

tims2k would be the place to go for a quick delivery.

Thanks for looking out Dave - things are starting to look better for me keeping the S .........that's not set in stone yet though :fingers crossed:

That would be great. How hard is it to install these things?

I just got in from the garage where I just made one.

Piece of 1/8" X 1" X 36" flat stock from Home Depot and a can of paint.
Cutting wheel to cut to length.
A propane torch to heat the metal
A vise and a heavy mallet to beat the curves needed.
Drilled a couple of holes to line up with the wind deflector mounting screws.

Now after failed attempts today at Radio Shack, Best Buy and Circuit City I need to track down a quick release mounting bracket. If all else fails, I will just use a bolt with a double nut as locking mechanism and just bolt the camera down with it's tripod mounting hole.

So far, I have $7.57 invested.

I can't wait to see the finished product.
