Can one of you car guys check out an a3 for me?
Hey guys and gals,
Found what could be a good deal on an a3 wagon. This would be my daily.
There's one in Arlington, decent mileage 6 speed on the floor (I don't want an auto) and I was hoping that one of you could check it out, and maybe take it to a reputable wrench to give it a good once over. I'm a little sketched by the owner history. It's been through three owners, and the last one had it for 3 months. It was returned to the dealer that sold it. Niether of these are good signs. It usually means a mechanical failure that was not resolved.
In any case, I'd appreciate any help ya'll could give to a southern brother.
Thanks!!
PS: what's up Skip!!!

Hey Willie,
It is still at the dealership? If so, what dealership? I'm a little farther out, so I won't be able to check it out, but I can ask a friend of mine to see if they can pull up the history. Also, if you can get me the VIN, it would also help.

That'd be GREAT! I'll give you $50 to do it, but I'd like to get that car to a Audi shop and give it a once over.

Rad! That's great. I'm a little skeptical of the vehicle given the owner's history. I've told the dealer that I may have a buddy check out the car. I'd like to get it to a local Audi dealership and have one of their mechanics inspect it for any issues / compression test, AC test, serpentine belt, etc.
Like I said, I'll give you $50 for your time and opinion of the car.
Thanks a ton!

Yes, I've confirmed that with Temor, a sales guy at the dealership. Contact him to coordinate a time:
