Default Car Paranoia

So this is my first post in Mid-A and something happened today that I figured only other S2000 owners would truly understand. I leave for work and my car is sitting snugly under its cover. I come home from work and the cover is stuck under the rear of the car. I thought, "Its never blown off like that before." It rarely blows of and when it does it is always still attached to the front bumper. Sure enough, when I go to put it back on, the entire thing is shredded to pieces and my mirror was knocked out of whack. Thats when I remembered the leaf crew was on my street today.

My girlfriend thinks I'm paranoid but I swear sometimes that fate is just trying to screw with my car. She is happy though. She knows exactly what to get me for Christmas. (And I was hoping for new floor mats) Now if I could only get my passenger seat to slide forward. Thats a problem I still haven't been able to figure out.

Anyone else have some stories?

Hmm .... if you're using the factory supplied car cover then that's not really a car cover. It's more of a dust cover to be used when storing indoors. Nonetheless, I've never had anything wierd like that happen to me. Probably the wierdess thing that happened to me today was the backfiring of my car at partial throttle with test pipe and stock exhuast.

I had my car at a show one time, and somebody spilled powdered sugar from funnel cake all over the trunk area of my car. I don't know if it was an accident or not, but I was pretty pissed.

I think a lot of us can be a little paranoid about our cars from time to time. I only touch the door handles when opening the door, and use the back of my hand or my sleeve to shut it, as to not get fingerprints all over the paint. That's about the most anal thing I can think of. It stays in the garage most of the time, and I don't drive it in bad weather, so it stays pretty clean overall.
