Default Check Engine Light ON after Comptech CAI Install

Aight guys,

I just installed the Icebox into my MY04. I started it after double checking all of the connections multiple times. Sounded like it kind of choked when the ignition started, and when I rev the engine, I can only get it up to 3 grand. Seems like a rev limiter is kicking in at that point. Any advice? Has comptech f-ed up the instructions??

How much oil did you use on the Air Filter?

There was a little box that was attached to the factory intake - where did you relocate that?

It mostly sounds like there could be a hose out of place - or Mason installed it

I followed the instructions EXACTLY for all the hoses...checked all the connections...map sensor etc..

same w/ the oil spray (followed instructions, sprayed liberally waited 2-3 min sprayed again...

what little box are we talking about here from the stock intake? there's only a couple big pieces that came off the MY04....could that be what's causing the CEL to come one??

my knowledge is all 03 and earlier, but if its the same then double and triple check all the vacume lines, also, one of the lines has a white gizmo in the line, be aware that this line is a 1 way line, and if you put it in the right spot, it will still need to be going the right direction to avoid the CEL. i had this problem with my aem

Its the vacume lines.... they are probably swithed. Take a pic of your engine bay and post it. Get close ups of the hoses and connections. Also, wait till you have 3 bars before engaging vtec.

Anyone think it could have to do with the Map Sensor?

maybe... but map sensor will cause it run like garbage, not throw a CEL (I think). My money is on the vacume lines.
Alex, take a close up of your connections, vacume lines for her.

Steve - my help only goes so far - taking a picture is too much work

Those two already cut into my dinner time while we were on the phone trying to diagnose it
