yeah, my camera is at home, I'm offsite at my fam's w/ the car

Steve, I cant even get it to vtec...it only gets up to 3 grand before pooping out on me.

I'm leaving the S at my fam's for the night. I can be back tomorrow morning w/ a pic of my setup. I can assure you that it looks exactly like the diagram that lovely comptech has in their instructions.

Alex, thank you so much for the pics, you are a lifesaver...unfortunately this is a biotch to take care of and from what I can see, my setup looks exactly like yours so far.

Thanks guys for your help, I'll have pics up in the morning.

And to make things better...we're installing an icebox on the CL as well...appparently you have to take off the front bumper to get to the stock airbox....well the dealership that fixed our headlight (Radley Acura) airgunned three bolts on and we cant remove them for the life of us...damn dealership. Well, its getting dark, think we're calling a quits for now...

...until tomorrow!

Laura,

I had the same thing happen on my 4-IG installed CAI at first... minus the rev limiting. I had the vacuum lines wrongly connected. After getting them correct, everything else was fine. Initially, I drove to Va Beach and back with the lines messed up. My guess is as Steve's is... vacuum lines.

I'll agree with two opinions of what it could be. (1) Vacuum lines switched or not on tight enough or (2) what brer said about the white thing, unfortunately i can't remember the name of the piece right now either. But if everything LOOKS right. Turn that one piece around and reconnect the hoses. Don't forget to clear the cell by pulling the backup fuse and see if it comes back afterward.

Um, that kind of sounds like a blocked intake... When you hit 3k does it just stop revving or does it die?

It might be the air filter like Alex was getting at. But you might want to check for something in the piping.

When you rev it up, can you hear any air entering the air filter? Or is it muffled abit?

Problem Solved...and the winner is.......

The Crank Valve sensor!!!

the one from the removed assembly...well, one of the wires going into it had just barely come out during the process of removing all the stock air tubes/coolant tubes. Hard to see being that its covered up by all the air tubes. So, the car works now (although the CEL is not going off - I'm in the process of disconneting the battery and taking the backup fuse out for a little while ...maybe 10-15 min) but a big improvement!!

We had to look up the OBDII codes for the CEL and get a paper clip to use the adapter near the fuse box to decipher what the blinking meant. Thanks everyone for your help and for posting how the codes for the adapter....
