Default Cirque du Soleil Delirium

My parents surprised me with tickets to Delirium in Hampton last night and it blew my mind! What an awesome show. Has anyone else seen a Cirque show?

I've started putting together plans to go to Las Vegas in 2007 just to catch another show or two.

Just saw Corteo in DC a week or two ago. Another good show, but the best I've seen has got to be Alegria... Might be that it was the first I saw (saw it twice, actually). Have seen it every year that it comes to DC since then. However, this year we were in the front row. It was wicked.

Delerium was quite a different show than I am used to from them. We sat up close on that one. It was interesting to be able to see the behind the scenes "stuff" from the POV.

When we saw "O", we were in the balcony so we got to see into the pool. It was pretty cool watching the performers hit the water and then be "escorted" off stage by the scuba divers. One minute the stage was there...next minute....a 30 ft deep pool of water!!!!!

Saw Varakie and Corteo...Varakie was better because it had more acrobatics which is really why I go.
Corteo was more theatrical...but a better story.

Last year in Vegas, I was trying to decide between Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group. I chose Blue Man. Looks like next time I'll have to make it to Cirque!

Cool pictures Alex! Did you take them?

Edit: Nevermind. I see the pics on Delirium's website

I was wondering the same thing at first. I thought I remembered them having a no camera policy.

I've seen Cirque in Las Vegas twice now. Once for "O" and once for "Mystere". Both were excellent shows, although "O" was the most unique performance I've ever seen anywhere.
