it will VTEC with 2 bars, but wait for 3 just to be safe

i remember the first time this happened to my car..i got pissed trying to race someone and my car dies almost ..i dump hot water on my engine before i start now...its like the cars version of coffee

I heat oil in my stove then pour it in my exhaust pipe... Keeps the lube runners functioning perfect!

last time i did that....i added sugar and cream thinkin it was something else

There is nothing wrong with your car. It is doing exactly what it was designed to do.
thanks for the info. I am new to the whole VTEC deal, I am even happy to hear that the ECU works like that. I was lookin more for the reason why, not so much worried about it. Good to know my car cares about itself.
