Default College Park Students

Hey.. i was just wondering... how many people here go to UMCP? or visit UMCP?

My GF goes to College Park, and i have never driven and left my car in the lot. Usually borrow my sister's camry... She might be tired of me doing that, so i need to know if it is safe.. I know after basketball games, it is not... but on a normal weekend? like this coming weekend?

nahhh. You should be okay. These days college kids drive much more expensive cars than yours or mine s2k. :-) So yeah, you should be okay. College park is not all that of a bad area. Just find an isolated spot and park without worries. if all else fails, you have insurance. I would be more worried about driving downtown due to bad roads. :-/

finally in my s2k, 204 miles and 396 more til break in.

Hey I go to CP but I dont take my car there on weekends if not at all. I usually take my gf's car to school but I have taken my car to school sometimes. I think your best bet would be Lot 6 behind CRC. I like it because it is a garage and space is pretty good. I try to park at the corners.

i am not saying that MD is a bad place. I am just thinking that, with the well known reputation of drunken frat boys, leaving your car in a empty lot is just asking for trouble. And leaving it on the streets, where people can't ding your car, is just asking for someone to throw a rock or a beer bottle at it. MAN.. lot 6? thats pretty far..... might as welli guess......... or i can continue to take my sister's car..

Well,

im not currently a student (graduated) but i wouldn't leave it overnight. i had a beater accord through my college years and it got its share and more of dings, dents, scratches and a stolen roof rack. Under no circumstances would i park overnight in student lots. but then again, this is just my opinion.

Lot 6 is pretty far but best place to park i think. I wouldnt want to park my S anywhere else. Anyway, find a ride from someone if you dont want to walk or just take your sister's car...
