Cargee - that definitely sounds like a nice plan. Definitely a good way to go about keeeping yourself on track!

In fact, alot of the places that you have mentioned are places I was thinking about stopping at.

How much time average did you stay at most places?
started - Thousand Oaks, CA
3 nights days Las Vegas, NV
2 hours Hoover Dam in NV
1 night Grand Canyon, AZ (fcking awesome views)
2 nights Mesa, AZ (south of pheonix, friends here)
1 night Rosewell, New Mexico (UFO place)
2 nights Dallas, TX (cheerleaders)
2 nights Baton Rouge, LA (I would go to New Orleans tho but she had family here so yeah)
1 night Mobile, AL (best seafood alfredo i ever had!)
3 nights Jacksonville, FL (family and friends)
2 nights Savannah, GA (scary place, if you drive through savannah 100% chance you drove over an unmarked mass grave site)
3 nights Myrtle Beach, SC (beach)
end - Home, VA (sweet home)

that's pretty close i would think. we stayed longer where we had family and the "cooler" cities like vegas dallas and myrtle beach cuz it's a beach

I appreciate it Cargee. That sounds like a decent route. One of my major things was that I wanted to visit San Diego and stay there for a good bit of time. I do have a feeling I'd get bored quickly there though, so I might make my stay there minimal.

If you get bored in San Diego you just slip down to Mexico

I just put through a call to AllState to hear about their "Motor Club" Benefits. Their benefits aren't nearly as nice as AAA Plus Membership. I think a trip like this there should be atleast one person there with a AAA Account, just incase!

Well, from the west coast I type. In shorts at 0730, golfed at 0830 yesterday... beautiful weather... how's it there?

As Mark mentioned, highways will be necessary. That's not a bad thing though. I like to get to my destination... quickly, so I'm not opposed to freeways. Pick out the main things you want to see/do. PCH, swim in the Pacific, Vegas, Dragon, etc. are probably on the list. Coordinate with other S2000 communities that might be on the way. If might be possible to meet up with a group or two for dinner along the way.
