D.C. Region Autocross
Anyone here running the full D.C. region autocross schedule for 2004?
I've been toying with the idea of running the full season semi-seriously in B Stock, and I'll dig up another set of OEM wheels to run either Hoosiers or Victoracers on. It's been quite a while since I've autocrossed....

As we all probably already know, AutoXing is an a fantastic way to safely have some fun in the S2000 around the track!
I would like to see some different Mid-Atlantic AutoXing teams. We are working on something here in Virginia Beach with a few of the SOVA people, but do you NOVA/MD people have anything?
We can certainly start organizing stuff for those who are interested

Well, like I said, I'm hoping to run the entire season. That being said, I don't expect to be remotely competitive. While I have a racing background, it's all been on motorcycles (Championship Cup Series, mostly at Loudon, NH), and remembering my way around all those cones is by far the most difficult part of autocrossing in my (inexperienced) opinion.
But to answer your question, while I'd certainly be up for a "team" environment, I don't want to saddle the experienced folks with a bunch of beginners hanging on their every move.

We aren't too worried about how good someone is down here - we're just kinda doing it for fun
Our courses are pretty short down here, so the S2000's and Mini Coopers thrive - it's the Corvette guys (who run the AutoX) who are the pros, but they are also the most squirly

Oh, since I did start this thread looking for information, I've got a quick question:
I'm planning to run in B-stock, as I'm guessing most S2000 folks are. Do you think a lap belt is worth the $80-90?
If so, will it mount to the factory seatbelt holes? (I'm assuming yes... I've installed a full harness before without much trouble, but I have no idea how useful a lap belt will be, if at all).

I plan to do a few fun runs this season. The season before last I autocrossed my 1999 Si, then moved onto RWD and took the year to get used to it. I'm thinking it'll be fun. Both of my brothers autox too, one using his IS300 and the other driving his WRX.
