For daily commuters of Rt. 7 in Virginia
Hi all,
I just moved to Sterling and now I commute to Rockville by getting on Rt.7 east in the morning. I know about the Georgetown Pike "short cut" but it took me an hour and a half this morning to get to work with no accidents on Rt. 7. Is this typical on Rt. 7 or is it because it was raining today?

I used to live in Sterling myself; 193 and 7 can be a pain in the butt during rush hour. It was most likely worse with the rain today, but there is always some congestion. Fortunately I now live right off of 193 right after it crosses the beltway, but I feel your pain. Goodluck and just bear with it.

but you're generally screwed in your situation. welcome to NoVA traffic, you just learn to deal with it
it might be just as bad tomorrow as their forecasting rain all day tomorrow too.
