Default DC Area Caravan to Fall Colors

It looks as if there will be lots of folks from the area going to Fall Colors. Shall we convoy and arrive in force? In order to accomodate everyone, perhaps we should meet at the Grovenor metro parking lot (right at 495-270 juncture) as it is easily reached from DC, MD, and NOVA.

Just a suggestion, I am happy to meet wherever.

I'm interested. We could meet the Richmond group on 95 (either south or north of the beltway).

Probably North of the beltway to make it easier on MD people. Anyone know of a good spot around there to meet?

Hmmmm - I assume the Richmond folks are going to be swinging around the beltway on the Eastern - Prince George's County side via the Wilson bridge. I guess the best place to meet then (which wouldn't be that much of a haul for those of us coning from Tysons/Bethesda/Mont. County side) would be the New Carrollton metro parking lot.

It is right at the intersection of the Beltway and Route 50 (from/to Annapolis & DC) and only about 10 miles past the Beltway - I95 junction. Actually - the folks from Richmond/NOVA should swing through the city, onto New York Ave/Route 50 which leads right to New Carrollton.

Again - just a suggestion, I am happy to meet anywhere else.

Count me in for a group ride to the event. I'll be coming around the top of the beltway. I can meet a group near 270 or at a Metro station. I plan to leave early to take advantage of the clinic time. Just let me know what works. Thx.

This is my neighborhood. The place you all want to meet is at the Park and Ride located at the intersection of 495 west, 495/95 east and 95 north. It accomodates everyone.

What is the exit number? Better yet, if you post a link to mapquest so that it is clear to all where to meet.

We should also start thinking of a time to start gathering and the time to leave the spot; so that everyone can ensure to make it there by then.

Any ideas of the time to meet, time to leave to Baltimore?

Looks like Exit 25. Maybe Rick can answer the question about what time to leave from there. I'm guessing it will be in the neighborhood of another hour caravanning.
