A slick little trick of moving the door under the car rather than opening out... a concept car that never made it to production. Check out the video...

There was a BMW production car that had a door that lowered, I remember seeing it on Top Gear. Pretty cool stuff.

According to the original article, they were worried about the heavy doors on the Marks when in tight quarters, like New York City.
