Hopefully I will get the chance to run the Dragon some day soon. I've read about it and the more I hear, the more I want to try it!

I don't disagree with what you, w1ngman and the others are saying. I'm just making conversation I respect everyone's opinion on here...otherwise I wouldn't be here.

True if it were on a real road, with traffic, then it would be a different story.
It is a real road it is not a closed course any day of the year. It is a public road that a lot of people die on because of lane crossing... The police there will watch you go by all day long exceeding the speed limit (reasonably) but the moment you cross the yellow line you will find yourself in a world of shit being written up for every infraction they can. There is zero tolerance for this for a reason.

I apologize for not providing enough background information prior but what you don't see in this picture is that this road is 11 miles of the tightest curves you will ever see in your life. No photograph or video does it any amount of justice. And, being on a mountain, most of the turns are blind and these assholes are literally driving around a corner into oncoming traffic. Even if they are not going that fast, there is a great chance that someone in the opposite direction is, as this road is very popular with local street bikers and enthusiasts from across the country. The yellow line is there for a reason, if each party stays on their side of it, less people die.

If this rider (http://photos1.blogger.com/hello/55/3348/1024/07198.jpg) met the asshat Miata... he probably would have lost his life.

Imagine in place of the truck, a speeding Miata.

If you still don't get it, or don't think it is a big deal. Please DO NOT come out with us. But if you at all have begun to see how incredibly important this is, I invite you to come out for an amazing weekend.

How do you guys know that the first two pictures are from the Dragon... I didn't realize that they both were.

Anyway, the first opportunity I have...I'm there!

This has me wondering though... have any S2Ks wrecked at the Dragon???

I think everyone can agree that crossing the yellow on any blind turn, anywhere, is incredibly dangerous.

The web sites that the images are source from are for the Dragon. There is a group of photographers that shoot there and you can purchase your images online after the trip.

www.killboy.com

And yes, we had someone new here wreck this spring. He didn't heed any experienced advice and tried to keep up with one of the forums best drivers.
I'll do a search and find a pic in a seconds. His car was totaled. He was safe though.

A bit less luck, and he could've tumbled off the mountain...

It's just a picture...who cares if they are crossing the line? It doesn't mean they do it in traffic. I don't see why everyone is getting so worked up about a couple of pictures.
