Does it matter if you're active duty, or do you still have to send a copy of a Birth Cert.?

For reference b/c I think I'm 1 of 2 s2k guys that have actually driven the track it's not terribly high speed. When I was there we ran the shorter course which is pretty much the section on the right and I think the fastest I got was maybe 75. I'd say my average speed was between 50-60 maybe a little faster. That sections I ran on could be done almost entirely with 3rd gear. Only two corners I had to go down to 2nd for.
My only gripe about the entire thing and this is just fair warning so you know what you are getting into is the guys drifting are running on the same course so be prepared to find some gravel and dirt on the track at a few corners. It was like that for a better part of the day when I went and although it wasn't in critical high speed corners it definitely forced you to go slower through them than what was possible.
For the cost though it was great fun. I had a lot more fun that I have doing autocross....probably mostly b/c I didn't have to do any work just go out and have fun. Not sure I'll make it to this one in March but I definitely plan on going again.

unfortunately there are no spectators and even more so, teh event was moved back to april 25th bc it clashed with VIR's nasa event that day.
if you want to shoot the event, you're more than welcoem to ride as a "crew" member in either ryan's or my car. thats usually how people go so they can take photos and video.

It's $100 per driver, and each driver can bring ONE additional "crew" member for an addition $25 fee. EJ is correct though, the date has been moved back to April. Both the driver and crew member must complete the background check though.
