I'm also interested in a track/driving school - but for me mostly high performance street techniques rather than learning how to race. Three friends of mine (non-S2000) also want to do this, and we've been trying to find a good place to go. A lot of schools offer group rates/programs so if we can get enough people, that may help.
Around here, there's CarGuys that run a clinic at Summit Point, but your car needs to be track ready and you need appropriate gear. Summit also has Friday At the Track. Like I said though, I'm more interested in something less race specific.

I have talked with their instructors and the FATT days are more about car control, and not really about racing other cars.
In my experience with Bike track days, mostly everything translates to the street. You will be a much better street driver (safer, faster smoother etc) after a few events.
Of course, you won't want to drive on the street as much, anymore and be hooked on race tracks.
I plan on attending as many as I can afford.

Yea!! I'm really interested in this topic too. I wanted to learn how to drive better so I take my car out at nights and go for a spin and try to take turns and road situations better. I've found that doing so brings out slight improvement but I really want to learn from a pro how to drive. Driving is a passion of mine and am looking to improve. If someone knows where and how please inform me too!!

Try this (its a recent thread...but as *this* thread I'm responding to began on 1/8, it's possible that folks didn't see it...): https://www.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.php?...&threadid=96393
Sorry, my "link" button is screwed up, or I'd make it "all-fancy-like"
...but the above thread is about spurring interest in a local S2000 challenge at Summit Point perhaps. Now I've read this driving school thread and I appreciate that many of you are asking for drag techniques and such vs. track/racing. But I also caught a couple posts related to an interest in how the S2000 handles. Such an event as linked above would offer something for those peeps.
Thanks,
Dave

I've done a handful of track days at Summit (and a couple at the Streets of Willow), and FATT is, by far, one of the best gigs going.
Yes, it's primarily about car control, but that's a precondition for racing which you cannot master without instruction and lots and lots of track time. (Besides, no licensed racing organization will permit wheel-to-wheel racing without your having gone this route.)
Also, you might consider autocrossing, which teaches you a lot about car control at the sorts of speeds you'll encounter on the street. It's cheap and easy and less abusive on the car.
