I posted this on DragVa.com. It's a local board that I'm quite a bit. Basically, a shop down here called Millenium had it's grand opening today and had a dyno shootout. I've been hearing horror stories of S2000s putting down really low numbers lately. I was a little nervous about dynoing mine just for pride's sake. One guy on DragVa made something like 170 something and I think Matt was somewhere aorund there. Needless to say I was pretty happy with my results. I'll let you guys know when I get it fully tuned again. I think 215 should happen without much problem. The N/A 4cyl class winner was a tie between two Hatchback Civics and they both got 191. Thats not bad for N/A civic wheel HP.

WellI ed myself out of 100 bucks...You n/a 4 banger guys are lucky. I didn'y have 50 bucks on me at the time and I didn't want to risk spending 50 bucks and then not making 191+ hp. Most S2000s dyno around 190-195 wheel hp if that, and those are usually pretty fresh. As most of you know S2000s don't gain much from exhaust and intakes, maybe 3-4 hp max. Mine has 73k miles on it so I thought I'd be lucky to get 190. After most people left a few people at Millenium got curious enough to go ahead and put my car up there for free just to see what it made. Well it had been idling for about 30 minutes so it was pretty hot too. I hoped for 185. Also my V-AFC was set stock. My first pull I got 202.5hp and 137.7 lbft. I was pretty suprised so I went ahead and set the V-AFC at -6 from 7000rpms on up. My second run got me 209.0hp and 140.5 lbft. Thats pretty high for a basic bolt on S2000. My V-AFC was set at -12 when I tuned it last time for max hp so I can still take out more. I'm gonna take it up to Abacus soon and hook up the sniffer to it and tune it right. I don't foresee any problem seeing 215 out of it. I guess I just got a strong S2000. Oh yeah...My peak torque is at 6400 too....most peak around 7800. I think I'm gonna keep mine.

All you n/a 4 cyl guy.....next time there's a dyno day...THATS YOUR ASS!

Thanks Shad everybody at Millenium for lettin me do that. I owe ya some brews.

I'm not sure.....they'll be more common now that Abacus and Millenium are gonna be close together and working together. I'd really like to see some dyno sheets. I'm pretty sure my torque is way way above your typical S2000....you should see my torque curve

Where's Milennium now?

I went to their shop in P-Town but it was a dump.

Also they did a really poor B16 swap on my friend's CRX...the thing was unsafe. Have they cleaned up their act lately?

Thanks, I'm gonna shoot for 215 after a fresh valve adjustment and and my V-AFC tuned.

One of my best friends named Chris Tucker just started working there and he's the only person I trust with my CRX or my S2000. He did my B16 swap and he's building my LS/VTEC turbo too. I'd trust that guy with a Ferrari

about the f20c becoming weaker over time, i heard the opposite. people argue that it actually becomes stronger as it accumalates more miles, just like the b18c5 in the ITR.

carbon build up = higher compression = higher horsepower

nutsack, so you're saying products that claim to clean out the carbon build up in your motor can actually make you lose hp, since carbon builup = higher hp?
