Thinkin' about the Spa Yellow seriously, now

Thanks again,

Complete bummer, man....I wasn't surprised it was a van...the damaged area is really large for a car to car "tap" My dad is buying my red S2k since he has been driving it more than I have (it's in CT...long story) and managed to get the driver's side tailight caved in along with part of the trunk. I wanted to get a silver one, but this makes me wonder otherwise....somehow I doubt black would be any better though...hope all goes well

Wouldn't you know it? Geico won't give me anything bigger than a "compact" for a rental because that's why my car qualifies as. Apparently it's not based on a "comparable" car (not that I could find a Z3, Boxster or S2000 rental) but c'mon! A NEON? They won't even upgrade me to a Grand Am. Ugh. Guess I'll deal with whatever.

Their response to requests for diminished value compensation? "It should be repaired well enough to not diminish the value at all." Someone needs to live in the real world. No matter how well the repair job is done, someone who's looking for it can tell... Farking morons.

Oh well... Hopefully this will end up better. I gotta get her in tomorrow before the snow comes.

I feel for ya man...my sister has one of those POS's....I feel like a Shriner in a parade when I'm in it. As for the snow...I'll believe it when I see it.

BTW. It has been statistically shown apparently, that silver cars are more widely hit than other colors of the same model vehicle since they are harder to spot, especially with peripheral vision.

Hope the repairs are speedy and first rate.

I feel for you. If it makes you feel any better -- it won't, I suspect, other than to remind you that you're not alone in this saga -- I hit a deer coming out of Turn 9 at Summit Point in early November. Yes, I win the award for "least damage resulting from hitting something on a track," but the car's still in the shop (four weeks later), and it's costing my insurance company $3500 for a new nosecone, new headlight, the remounting of my intercooler, and some cosmetic work (painting and dent removal). And, by the way, my name's Chris and my car's silver... ;-) Good luck!

Watch out for the most ghetto S2000 in the world... I got bored, very bored being snowed in, but wanted to play with my (rather damaged) S2000... They're replacing the panel, so I masked it off and got downright ghetto.

I think I'll have them save the panel for me.

That looks like damage wrought by an SUV bumper. I hate SUVs and everything they stand for, but mostly because the people who drive them are incompotent boobs.

Chris-

Don't accept that answer. I was told the same thing. Call me and I'll go more into more detail. 703-784-2210(work)
