[QUOTE=dave22,Sep 15 2004, 12:33 AM] I don't think those numbers are anything to worry about.

I read where the S can run in the 13:1 range NA, no problem. I used the "end-all, be-all" search function on this site! Heaven forbid that I should ask a question that has already been asked of the west coast madonnas!

Note: I'm not referring to the likes of UL or Sean at torquefreaks or xviper or the like. you know the group I'm talking about.
I wouldn't say 13:1 with no problem. The reason you can run so lean N/A is that there is not as much cylinder pressure as with FI. If you ran that lean with a comptech...well your a Marine... FIRE IN THE HOLE!

Joe, I know guys want to stay at 11.5-12 when going FI. Seeing as I'm there already, what can I expect those numbers to be after bolting the s/c on with the smaller pulley? Up or down? Or will the ecu try to work its magic and maintain 12's?

Ganley dyno'd my car on a DynoJet before starting any work on my car. They got 196.7/136.x and an A/F ratio that got real rich after 8k. This, A/F, is not consistent with the local dyno. I don't care about the difference in hp/torque between the two dynos, but I'm not sure about the A/F thing.

Anyhow, Jeff called tonight and said the Comptech bolted on and no changes yielded about 288, or about 92ph increase. The 7lbs pulley from Tech2 was then added and 310 was achieved. I think torque was in the upper 190's. Again, no tuning was done. A/F was pretty rich before VTEC and close to being too lean after.

I'll have my car back tomorrow along with the dyno sheet(s). I'm interested to see the difference between the the two different pulleys as it applies to the A/F. We know now that the 7lbs pulley made about 22hp more.

Impressive. Are they going to try and richen it up up top or are they thinking it'll be safe up there? Any specific A/Fs you could share?

Dave, we just got back from drilling a few bowling balls for his family. We're going to eat and then we'll probably look at the dynos. J'ai faim!
