front bumper or front lip?
im looking at aftermarket body kits right now, and i am wondering if there is any mechanical/technical advantage in getting a 1 piece complete new front bumper, or in a front lip? the only generic thing i can see is that a lip give you a line across the front where it attaches, and a full bumper does not. But besides this is there any real difference in general?

How 'bout this...
You can replace a lip rather easily when it cracks
. A whole bumper is another story altogether. Just ask Andyp
But...if I could stand the wait for the dang thing, I'd buy a Top Secret front end like [finger-snap]
THAT!

The thing is, with most aftermarket front bumpers, they are all fiberglass and can't withstand a hit and flex like our OEM urethane bumpers. This means if you're too low and hit a dip in the road, pothole, etc - CRACK!!
You just gotta be careful like me...
Did you plan on getting a full kit eventually? If the answer is No, you may want to stick with a front lip instead. I still think that my car looks front-heavy without sideskirts and a rear piece, but I still don't know what I want.
OH heck yea i was planning on getting a whole kit, sides and rear. But that is why i was wondering about the lip or bumper. cause that puts me to looking at certain companies. And im hoping this thread will help me narrow down some of the kits i was looking at.
