I've been saying the same thing too. The state (MD too) could cut the expenses of making the front plate in half. The raw steel, the reflective paint, the stamping of an extra plate (plus the labor involved in that) would be cut in half.

Now let's add into that the registration stickers, at least Maryland's (I know this is a VA thread). MD has separate stickers for month and year. Why not do what Delaware does and have 1 sticker for both month & year? That would cut the cost of making those in half as well, saving money all over the place.

Hmmm...maybe I should run for Governor...
